Abstract :
A clamp for single-ended power converters is proposed which returns energy stored in the leakage inductance of the transformer to the supply. The clamp allows minimal voltage overshoot on the switch, without employing an additional switch. The well-clamped power converter allows the use of lower voltage switching devices, and improves the reliability of the converter
