Abstract
The most abundant photoelectric measuring equipments for the automatic count of arboreal raw allow to institute one (vertical) diameter of a log. There are more composite and expensive installations accepting the measure of two diameters of a log in orthogonally related directions. The development of such scanners was encompassed, primarily, in augmentation of resolving power and speed of measuring, and practically has reached reasonable limit.
