Abstract
Multidimensional (nD) systems introduce problems which cannot be solved using existing standard (1D) systems theory. Recently the so-called behavioural approach has emerged as a potential unified setting for the control-related analysis of these systems. This paper provides a tutorial-style overview of some of the major results obtained to date and details the advantages of using this general approach
