Abstract :
A voice recording system based on distributed feedback fiber laser (DFB-FL) is presented in this paper. We record and recover voice signal by interrogating the DFB-FL wavelength shift, derived from the change in the external environment around the DFB-FL. Voice recording is demonstrated using both unifrequent voice signal and human voice respectively, and satisfying results have been obtained. The system provides high precision, stability, anti-interference and security to hazardous gas. Therefore, it has promising prospects in coal mine and hazardous gas surroundings.
