Abstract :
The TSETSE model is designed to mimic the directionality of the local transmittance measured beneath conifer forests. The model writes as a product of a between-crown gap probability by a volume component which describes the radiative transfer within a turbid single crown. Results show peaks of the radiation loading at the understory as related to tree arrangement and whorl structure. The model inversion relies on the location of these peaks, allowing for a retrieval of the tree distance, dimensions of the crown, and LAI
