Abstract
Friction is the process connected with plastic deformation of fine superficial layers of materials. Plastic deformation is accompanied by structure transformations in the area of friction. Diffractometry of synchrotronic radiation is an unique way of studying structural changes in situ that is explained in the first turn by high intensity and monochomatism of radiation as well as high sensitiveness of modern detectors. Roentgengrams obtained at realization of this method possess small apparatus widening of diffraction reflections from crystallographic grain planes. Pure tungsten, molybdenum and copper disk were the objects used for investigation.
