  • Abstract
This paper presents a dynamic load-shedding scheme that uses a network of non-intrusive load monitors (NILMs). These devices, which can monitor the status of multiple loads using only a single set of aggregate voltage and current transducers, can log important real-time information about individual loads. This information can be used as part of a dynamic load-shedding scheme. The proposed approach is tested using a simulation model constructed in the alternative transients program (ATP). Results demonstrate its effectiveness.
