Welcome from the conference chair

Welcome to the 37^th Annual Northeast Bioengineering Conference (NEBEC) held at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) in Troy, NY. RPI is home to one of the first biomedical engineering departments in the country and hosting NEBC, in midst of our historic buildings and ongoing bio-renaissance at Rensselaer, is an opportune moment for us. We are particularly excited to have one of our graduates from our first class of biomedical engineering students (Class of 1970) featured as a speaker, Dr. Paul Cordo. The key locations for the conference will be the newly constructed Center for Biotechnology and Interdisciplinary Studies (CBIS) and the Curtis R. Priem Experimental Media and Performing Arts Center (EMPAC).
