Abstract :
In recent 50 years it was repeatedly noted that soil radon can markedly respond to changing intensive-deforming condition of geological medium. This fact encourages the scientists of different countries to create reliable methods of predicting severe earthquakes in seismic active regions of the earth. The information published in scientific literature, however, testifies the fact of insufficient study of radon transfer under different geological-geographical conditions and as a result low sensitivity of predictions, bad comparison and reproduction of the results obtained in different points and different territories. The main task of the paper is studying the peculiarities of some characteristics of soil radon mass transfer response to changing intensive- deforming condition of lithosphere in the Northen wing of Kuril-Kamchatka zone of subduction in order to find short-term heralds before severe earthquakes.
