Abstract
This paper focuses on the issues of ICT planning for organizations catering to the bottom of the pyramid. By sharing the experiences of challenges faced in ICT planning and implementation at an organization which works for the empowerment of the poor self employed women in India, the study discusses various issues related to such organizations. The study also establishes the fact that the issues of such organizations which cater to the needs of the bottom of the pyramid are very much different from that of the large profit making companies. The paper refers to various models that are used for technology planning at various organizations and emphasizes on the issues of implementing the same in these types of organizations.
