Abstract :
The purpose of this project is to design a prosthetic hand that utilizes myoelectric control, for more intuitive actuation. The electronic design will address noise control and a feedback mechanism. The mechanical design will consist of two degrees of freedom (separate finger and thumb controls) with increased resolution and finger curl. Eventually the hand will be able to help improve the quality of life of upper limb amputees at an affordable cost.
