Abstract :
Two different analytical procedures are presented for the propagation and leaky characteristics of microstrip on a circular substrate. Both procedures are based on the electromagnetic formulation in the spectral domain, but one uses the current density on the strip, and the other uses the aperture electric field as source quantities in the formulations. These methods are based on the rigorous full wave analyses and they can analyze the bound and leaky modes of circular strips.
