  • Abstract
This article deals with the 12th European Conference on Software Maintenance and Reengineering, tool demonstration. Tool demonstrations have always provided an excellent venue for researchers to present their ideas, foster new research directions, and combine results in innovative ways in order to solve some of our most challenging problems. In reverse engineering and software maintenance, the landscape surrounding tools has been transformed over the past decade. Throughout the 90´s, our tools were primarily focused on the design and implementation of automated algorithms. In today´s software tools, the user has moved into the driver´s seat. This is especially clear in today´s session where each tool has taken a user-centric approach to software maintenance and reengineering. Integrated environments such as Eclipse have made this possible, by providing a rich user experience with a highly extensible plug-in framework.
