The rapid economic development has brought great change to the city of Beijing, and the living water demand is an important concern during the process of the booming urbanization. In this paper, the influence of urbanization on the citypsilas living water demand is analyzed. The indexes indicating urbanization were carefully chosen, and by studying the historical data of the city living water demand a simple partial least-squares (PLS) regression was constructed. The method provided an effective quantitative analysis for city water resource management, and could also be used for future prediction of living water demand.
