Abstract :
Nowadays with the development of freeway the traffic accidents have been increasing. Among the accidents, the rear-end collisions account for a large proportion and the researches on Automotive Rear-end Collision Warning Technology (ARCWT) have become a hot topic. In this paper, we talk about the Automotive Rear-end Collision Warning Technology, such as ARCWT based on machine vision, ARCWT based on radar and so on, analyzing their principles, features and disadvantages in details and introducing the ARCWT based on the multi-sensor information fusion techno-logy. At last, the trend of ARCWT is proposed.
