Abstract :
CFS with the characteristics of high strength and good waterproof performance, gradually is applied to hydraulic structurespsila structural strengthening industry. Because there is lack of study on theoretical calculation, according to plane assumption, in accordance with the calculation formula for bearing pier of radial gate given in Design code for hydraulic concrete structures (SL/T 191-96), take side pier for example, a practical calculation formula for the bearing capacity of CFS strengthened pier under the local tension is proposed. Applications shows that the theoretical formula proposed has a certain theoretical and practical value, strengthening effects are reliable, provide reference for future engineering applications.
