Abstract
Streaming media is data that is delivered in a continuous stream to a client and that can be used as it arrives. With the rapid development of information technology, streaming media service is one of the important ways of the information services. P2P technology has played a good supporting role in the distribution of large data flow of streaming media in information services. This article analyzes the characteristics of the streaming media information services, and discusses the operating mechanisms about steaming media information services based on peer to peer technology, and this article constructed two kinds of streaming media information service mechanisms based on the P2P technology, which are the structured P2P streaming media information services making the server as the center and the P2P streaming media information service based on the multicast service nodes.
