Abstract :
As one of the main purposes, Semantic Web Services (SWS) is proposed to ensure automatic service discovery. However, an effective and dedicated semantic registry for SWS discovery is still desired. Therefore, we propose a mechanism and implement it as prototype for SWS discovery. In the paper, first, we discuss the architecture of the mechanism and its properties as a prototype. Next, design an SWS Model Ontology to store the published SWS. Then, we present an algorithm for SWS discovery in detail. Finally, test the prototype with OWLS-TC3 and point out its highlighted merits. As a result, the mechanism proves to be a weight-light and effective method for SWS discovery.
