Abstract :
A novel technique for eighteen multiplied frequency is proposed and investigated based on an intensity modulator and cascaded four-wave-mixing (FWM) effects in a single semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA). The results show that the 36-GHz and 90-GHz millimeter waves are achieved when the input frequencies are 2-GHz and 5GHz, respectively.
