Abstract :
For the implementation of random-switching control, the use of the M-sequence as a random-signal source is proposed. The use of the M-sequence, a digital pseudo-random signal, allows the simplification of the random-switching control circuit. The implementation using the M-sequence is described in detail and the effect of employing the M-sequence on noise reduction is examined through experimental results. In addition, the switching-noise spectrum from the M-sequence is analyzed theoretically based on a general noise-generation model. The obtained theoretical results are compared with experiments, so that the validity of the theoretical results is confirmed
