  • Abstract
This paper presents the study of building up inventive principles for eco-innovative design and the method of simplified assessment for eco-innovative products. The former assist designers to get innovative concepts easily and develop eco-products through the guidelines of green design. The latter help designers to evaluate the progress ratio of the developing eco-innovative products by considering the environmental impact, cost and performance of the products in their life cycle. These proposed methods have been affirmed by case studies, and they certainly can assist designers to develop eco-innovative products.
