The rationale and objectives of the cooperation of universities and IT companies necessitate a new approach based on the convergence of technologies, teaching and research together with the increasing significance of content. Reflecting the nature of the information society, cooperation of IT manufacturing firms and universities will play an important role in the development and take-up of IT professionals education, especially in the Estonian context.
