Abstract
This paper discusses some circuit breaker overcurrent discrimination problems in a typical DC telecommunication power distribution system. The tripping mechanism of circuit breakers and its discrimination implications in a DC power system is described. Coordination among protective devices requires the cooperation of all the parties using the power distribution system. The objective of this paper is to highlight the issue to the users of DC power systems
