Abstract :
It is a new subject to calculate combining capacity of combination station for heavy haul trains. The paper compared the differences between combination stations and common marshalling stations, and pointed out the particularities of station arranging type, operation features, and operation process of trains in combination station. Based on statistical analysis of data to gain the probably distribution of operation times by using SPSS, the paper established the carrying capacity simulation model of combination station, and put forward a new method based on realization probability for computing the station carrying capacity. Finally, Hudong station in Daqin railway taken as an example, application of the model and method was illustrated and the results were analyzed in detail.
