Abstract :
In the paper, some relative research theory and calculation methods for the river ecological basic flow both at home and abroad have been summed up, and then, considering the actual conditions of Sushui River, the function of the river reach is determined. The ecological basic flow of the river in different periods has been quantitatively researched with Tennant and the minimum monthly average flow methods. Further more, the degree of ecological water shortage was analyzed, and for the three representative years (P=50%, P=75%, P=95%) the water shortage for the ecological basic flow in turn is 0.722×106~0.729×106m3, 0.135×106~0.279×106m3 and 0.335×106~0.407×106m3. It is expected to provide a scientific basis for the reasonable allocation of water resources in Sushui River.
