Abstract
We propose a generic concept of “flexible intelligent machine control” (FIMC) which has a hierarchical structure and two functions of knowledge acquisition and adaptive learning. We show a practical example of FIMC which is applied to a temperature control on the actual jacket tank in a polymerization process
