  • Abstract
    An optical sensor for estimation of ice slurries concentration is presented here. The sensor is suitable for monitoring liquid concentration of biphasic mixtures. Emerging refrigerant systems exploit these mixtures as thermal exchanger medium because of their excellent thermal properties, harmless for environment as well as low cost and easy plant maintenance. Particular attention has been adopted to confirm temperature independent behavior of this sensor, which change its state just for ice concentration variation
