Abstract :
Convenient parking near transportation nodes, shopping areas and other densely occupied urban areas is critical to urban development, however, construction of parking facilities and space is often restrictive in urban areas because of a lack of lateral space, and being concerned about excessive noise and vibration of construction. Providing parking areas located logically and conveniently could reduce traffic congestion by permitting commuters access to public transportation systems and convenient access to private and rental bicycle parking lots, and could solve messy and overflowing bicycles in the passage way by reducing or eliminating illegal parking. A solution for environmentally noise-vibration-free urban parking construction is a keenly long-awaited urban development. An underground cylindrical mass steel structure using the ´press-in´ pile driving technology is one of the solutions.
