Abstract :
In this paper complementary split ring resonator (CSRR) array are realized on the ground plane along the length of a rectangular microstrip antenna (RMSA) that improves the realized gain by providing better match at the desired resonant frequency. Dual band operation is also observed when the array of CSRR designed at double the RMSA resonant frequency is inserted half way underneath the patch.
