  • Abstract
Due to the intrinsic nonlinearities of bioprocesses, a nonlinear approach of both state observer and feedback controller design must be considered. The main point is to illustrate (1) that the use of nonlinear techniques based on exact linearization for both algorithms can be motivated as they incorporate the available process knowledge optimally and (2) that these nonlinear design techniques are feasible for bioprocesses
