CFD analysis of High Marnham Power Station condenser

A study has been carried out to understand the detailed flow and performance of the condensers at High Marnham Power Station. The development and application of a three-dimensional CFD model has provided a means of investigating some aspects of the performance of the sets and bringing about valuable improvements in performance. The improvements in back pressure on four of the five units have led to reduced operating costs and less condensate is lost through the air pumps
