Abstract
In this paper, we present a method dedicated to the detection of broken bars and end-rings defects in a three-phase induction motor. This method is based on the spectral analysis of the stator current Park´s vector modulus. The theoretical principles of this method are described. Simulation and experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of this method for the detection of the squirrel cage faults.
