Abstract
Structure stiffness uncertainty and earthquake excitation are considered in an active mass damper control system. Based on μ synthesis and H∞ design techniques, the closed loop is designed to mitigate the vibration of structure and guarantee robustness for the variation of structure stiffness. μ synthesis is applied by using the D-K iteration scheme. In order to apply this algorithm toilsome changes must be made. The uncertainty modeling and robust performance design are shown for a 5-story building structure control system
