Abstract :
A second order sliding manifold approach is used to design a robust controller for linear systems. The proposed approach, based on the singular perturbation theory, allows one to obtain robust performance also assuring a smooth control signal. The effectiveness of the controller is experimentally investigated on a DC servodrive system
