Abstract :
The development and application of cored wire welding techniques within the power industry, over the last couple of years has been significant and led to substantial savings, in terms of component replacement costs and outage times. The author discusses the welding equipment and consumables, and development of repair techniques. The author then describes cold weld repair using cored wires and applications for cored wire repairs
