Abstract
Today´s increasing demand for reduction in outage times are leading many turbine OEM´s and power utilities to question traditional methods of joint closure to find a faster and more accurate method. The authors detail how they believe that hydraulic tensioning technology will become an integral part of steam and gas turbines and associated critical items to reduce maintenance time, increase availability and give reliable repeatable jointing
