Abstract :
The performance of MTMFSK in a multiple access environment is investigated. Initially, performance is analyzed for the uncoded case; analytical and simulation results are presented. Based on simulation results it is observed that multiple access noise sets the upper limit to performance. Coding is then introduced to improve the system. Both Reed-Solomon (block) coding and dual-k (convolutional) coding are explored, and results are presented. Applications well suited to this modulation scheme are discussed
