Abstract :
We survey recent literature on distributed model predictive control (MPC) and discuss some correlative problems about distributed MPC. Firstly we give the principle of distributed control and characterize distributed MPC framework into three classes by different domains of application. Secondly recent research approaches are reviewed, including main methods of modeling subsystem models, the control problem decomposition, controller design and coordination schemes between controllers. Then the evolvements of system analysis approaches relatively are introduced, main problems and insufficiency of them are analyzed. Finally, future research orientations of distributed model predictive control are prospected.
