Abstract :
This paper presents broadband control electronics for active closed-loop envelope load pull system. This control electronics when integrated in the existing envelope load pull system provides a constant load with varying input power over large bandwidth. These two characteristics of the broadband control module make it a potential candidate for a novel tool in the power amplifier characterization techniques. The developed control electronics finds direct application in the development of broadband envelope load pull system to be used for the characterization of CDMA and W-CDMA power amplifiers (PA).
