Abstract
In this paper the approaches for distribution network modeling and connectivity analysis are presented. A number of physical models that are designed deliberately for describing distribution feeders, feeder sections, supply sources, etc., are introduced. These models help to avoid a vast number of dummy stations and dummy buses in building distribution network databases, and make the users define the radial network easily and visually. It has been shown in a real project that these approaches are flexible, reasonable and efficient. They can be applied to the DMS developments in a general sense
