Abstract :
A novel scheme of electronically tunable power filter suitable for HF radio communications is proposed in this paper. The helical resonator is loaded in the middle of the helix and the tuning element is set outside the cavity. Theoretical and experimental results show that the proposed filter can be realized with properties of high tuning speed, high-Q factor, high power capacity, and broad tuning range. The design is of great value in commercial and military applications.
