Message from General Chair

The IEEE International Conference on Engineering of Complex Computer Systems (ICECCS) is a well-established forum that provides opportunities for researchers of different backgrounds to exchange the state-of-the-art results and experiences in the field of complex software systems. The 17th IEEE International Conference on Engineering of Complex Computer Systems (ICECCS 2012) aims to continue the tradition of ICECCS in this direction. This volume contains the proceedings of the 17th IEEE International Conference on Engineering of Complex Computer Systems held 18-20 July 2012 in Ecole Normale Sup??rieure, Paris (France). A total of 128 regular papers were submitted to the conference and each paper was reviewed by three program committee members with the help of the external reviewers. The program committee selected 37 papers for presentation in the conference and inclusion in this volume, providing a comprehensive coverage of the current state-of-the-art research in the area of complex computer systems.
