The emergence of Peer-to-peer technology (P2P) opens up for instant messaging. The new non-centre network architecture, each one pairs, and other body (Peer) can directly exchange without central server, to avoid the server of traditional C/S model bottleneck caused by various defects. JXTA a set of protocol can be used to deal with the construction of P2P networks of various issues, meanwhile JXTA provideing a unified application development platform for P2P network. The paper analysis knowledge of P2P real-time communication system, and references the relevant research results at home and abroad, develops a set of imitation ICQ application. the paper provides an example of imitation of the ICQ instant messaging program.
