Abstract :
For improving the position accuracy of dead reckoning system, this paper discussed the influence of tire temperature on odometer´s scale factor. The error model of dead reckoning was analyzed, an INS/Odometer/CDGPS approach was proposed, and kalman filter was used to calibrate odometer´s scale factor with tire temperature. Experiment results show that this method can accurately calibrate the characteristics of odometer´s scale factor, and the scale factor is linear to tire temperature. Vehicle navigation experiment is implemented according to the calibrated odometer, the position accuracy is 5 times higher than that without calibration.
