Abstract :
A fast hybrid method - hybrid edge-element method and fast multipole algorithm (FEM-FMA) is presented to analyze electromagnetic scattering by three-dimensional anisotropic inhomogeous objects in this paper. The matrixes formed from FEM are symmetric and the fast multipole algorithm is applied to accelerate the traditional method of moment. The accuracy and efficiency of the method are verified by 3-D numerical examples.
