  • Abstract
    Usage of Gigabit-capable passive optical network (GPON) as mobile backhaul is described. Two clock recovery approaches for GPON-based mobile backhaul architecture for 2G / 3G GSM (Global System for Mobile communication) network are described and their performances are compared. Measurement of quality of recovered clock on real GPON is performed and discussed.
