Abstract :
In this paper, we study a two-tier MIMO network, consisting of a single macrocell base station with multiple transmit antennas coexisting with several closed access MIMO femtocells. In spite of, such deployment is challenging because of the presence of inter-tier and intra-tier interference of femtocells. Simulation results show the proposed total throughputs / path loss compared with different schemes. Our investigation includes both types of cross-layer interference, i.e., the macrocell interference to femtocell and the femtocell interference to macrocell. The Block-Diagonalization algorithm generalizes the channel inversion scheme which restrains completely all interference among the users although allowing interference among different data streams.
