Abstract
Direct digital synthesis (DDS) is a new signal synthesis technique developed very fast in recent years. Because of its all digital construction, it possesses good qualities of very fine step and very short time of changing frequency. This paper introduces the application of DDS in distributed phased array radar (DPAR), design method of a S-band DPAR frequency synthesizer is also given.
