Abstract :
We used wavelets analysis to identify myoelectric patterns produced during isometric contractions, into muscular force levels. Two types of wavelets were used: Daubechies and Coiflet. The results show that it is possible to identify the force levels produced by a muscle during the first 0.5 s of contraction. The goal is to classify myoelectric signals into three previously established force levels. The coefficients obtained by the wavelet transform of such signals allow us to distinguish easily among the three levels
