Abstract :
A traffic condition identification method based on regional road network was put forward in order to accurately identify real-time traffic condition and distribution of road network. On the analysis of the traffic status parameters of the intersection and section, the road network model was built. With the average travel time as the traffic parameters of regional network, traffic condition analysis models were built. The connected matrix and reach ability matrix were used to identify the traffic states of network. The case analysis results show that the connected matrix and reach ability matrix could reflect the connectivity of intersections and the reach ability of different paths under different traffic crowded degree threshold, and could find out the key intersections and key sections in the network. It could be used to analyze the spatial and temporal distribution of traffic state of the whole network. The simulation result shows that the method of traffic state judgment of road network is feasible, which can be used in traffic control, traffic information release and traffic induction.
